OK… I need your help! Before I go any further….I was considering putting together a Mississippi Junior Tennis Date Book for 2008. My ideas are that it would include the 52 weeks, with a place for scheduling or notes, a photo of one of our Mississippi kids, an inspirational quote, and for Sundays, a place to journal or reflect on your week or give thanks for each of the 52 weeks. I was thinking this would be a Christmas gift for relatives and friends. I need to know if there is any interest in this at all, should it have spaces for you to fill in the dates or should the actual dates be printed on the date book (making it specific to 2008)? Would you prefer color or a complete black and white book with black and white photos? Please register on this site and comment with your ideas, thoughts and suggestions.

It’s time to nominate your favorite players for the Mississippi Tennis Association annual awards banquet. This is a great time to give the special recognition to junior and adult players, professionals, and Coaches. There are also other special awards. Spread the word.

Check out the Mississippi Tennis Association website for the award criteria before making your nominations. There are many different awards to consider. Check and see if that someone special has met these criteria and complete the information to nominate them.

Encourage every USTA Member you know to include all their family members in their renewal (Whether they play tennis or not). The more total members Mississippi has will increase the junior quota for Southern’s. The number of kids that get selected is based on Mississippi’s total membership.
